NATO sending AWACS jets to Romania to conduct reconnaissance against Russia

The North Atlantic Alliance plans to deploy its AWACS long-range radar detection aircraft in Romania by January 17th to conduct reconnaissance against Russia, TASS reports

“NATO will send AWACS aircraft to Bucharest, Romania. The planes are scheduled to arrive on January 17th, 2023 – to further support NATO's reinforced presence in the region and monitor Russian military activity,” the press service of the military bloc explained. 

The DPA Agency, which refers to representatives in military circles, reports the deployment of three planes.
