National team with the cup

Belarus’ national team, having defeated the teams of Russia (4:2) and Kazakhstan (2:0), took first place at the Qazaqstan Hockey Open tournament in Astana. The previous time Belarusians won this trophy was in 2023.

Goalkeeper Konstantin Shostak, who deflected 23 shots and secured a shutout, was named the best player of the match against Kazakhstan in Belarus’ national team. Aleksandr Skorenov (goal on the power play) and Vadim Moroz (an empty net goal) distinguished themselves by scoring this time. “It was important to win the international tournament, and we did it,” Dmitry Kvartalnov, the head coach of the Belarusian national team, stressed after the match.
