National Agency for Investment and Privatisation named Belarus’ competitive advantages for foreign investors
Dmitry Krasovsky, the Director of the National Agency for Investment and Privatisation (NAIP), has voiced the competitive advantages of Belarus for foreign investors as he spoke at a recent conference on economic co-operation between China's Shaanxi Province and Belarus, sb.by reports with reference to the agency’s website
Mr. Krasovsky named five main reasons why investors choose Belarus to develop their business. They include the country’s favourable geographical location, access to the large Eurasian market, personnel, natural resources, as well as benefits and preferences. At the same time, the personnel issue is of a paramount importance.
"Belarusians are educated people and highly skilled workers. There are almost 50 universities in the country. Besides, Belarusians are friendly, and guests of different nationalities and faiths feel completely safe on the streets of Belarusian cities," Mr. Krasovsky said.
In his presentation, the Director of NAIP compared the cost of resources necessary for doing business in Belarus and China, also reporting on the opportunities that Belarusian preferential regimes offer to investors.
The conference was organised by NAIP's partner, the Belarusian-Chinese BelJinXin company. The Chinese delegation included heads and representatives of government organisations responsible for trade and investment development, as well as companies from the province. Representatives of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange and private businesses participated in the conference from the Belarusian side.
"Before the start of the conference, negotiations were held in NAIP with a delegation from the Department of Commerce of Shaanxi Province," the source reported.
