NAS, Rosatom discussed mechanisms for expanding co-operation

Mechanisms for expanding interaction between Belarus’ National Academy of Sciences and Russia’s Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation were discussed at a meeting in Minsk on June 10th, the official Telegram channel of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus reports

"The National Academy of Sciences was visited by a delegation of Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation headed by Advisor to the Director General Grigory Rapota,” the source informed. “During the meeting of the delegation with Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Vladimir Karanik, the parties discussed mechanisms for expanding co-operation between the organisations of the Academy of Sciences and Rosatom in the field of isotope technologies, electric mobility, waste recycling, unmanned vehicles, materials science, energy storage, and so on.”

Following the talks, the parties agreed to work out the issue of forming a joint Belarusian-Russian group (NAS-Rosatom) to consider proposals for developing co-operation, as well as organising a visit of the delegation of Belarus’ NAS to Rosatom in the near future.
