Naryshkin: Ukrainian authorities seek to destroy canonical Orthodoxy in the country
The Kiev regime seeks not just to ban, but to physically destroy canonical Orthodoxy in Ukraine – as Sergei Naryshkin, the Head of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, told reporters
“The current Kiev regime and its masters in the Western capitals seek not only to ban, but literally to physically destroy canonical Orthodoxy on the territory of Ukraine,” Sergei Naryshkin underlined. “They are aware in Western capitals that in the conditions of the collapse of ideologies, the struggle for a new world order, canonical Russian Orthodoxy is the core, the spiritual force that continues to be the basis of the unity of Orthodox peoples, in particular the peoples of Russia and Belarus.”
According to Sergei Naryshkin, the Security Service of Ukraine literally draws up lists of dissenting, disloyal citizens who are under pressure, “We understand that there’re practically no red lines for the Western capitals, for the Kiev authorities in the issues of aggravation of the religious conflict. Today we can say with confidence that the situation in this area in Ukraine has acquired the features of a religious war against canonical Orthodoxy. The Kiev regime must understand that the consequences of these events will be very bad and more than one generation will have to pay for it.”
As reported, in early March, the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra National Reserve, subordinate to the Ukrainian Culture Ministry, issued a notice on the unilateral termination of the lease agreement with the monastery of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The document of the Culture Ministry Ukraine stated that work on the acceptance of property would begin on March 30th, and a phased plan for the release of buildings was also indicated.
