MTZ will supply at least 2.7 thousand tractors to Pakistan in 2025
Minsk Tractor Plant plans to supply at least 2.7 thousand BELARUS tractors with a capacity of up to 60HP to Pakistan in 2025, the company’s Tractor.bel corporate edition reports
A contract on the supply of MTZ machinery to Pakistan was signed by General Director Sergei Avramenko during the official visit of Belarus’ President Aleksandr Lukashenko to Pakistan. “In addition to direct deliveries, we have considered jointly with our partners the possibility of organising the assembly of BELARUS tractors with a capacity of up to 60HP in Pakistan," Mr. Avramenko commented. “Localisation will reduce the cost of the product for the end user.”
According to the company head, the co-operation between the Minsk Tractor Plant and Pakistan is developing steadily: from January-September 2024, exports of BELARUS tractors rose by 7.9 percent against the same period last year.
As previously reported, following the negotiations between the Belarusian delegation led by Industry Minister Aleksandr Yefimov and the heads of Pakistani companies Green Corporate Initiative (Private) Limited and Heavy Industries Taxilaat at the end of November in Islamabad, it became known about plans to launch an assembly plant for 100HP+ BELARUS tractors in Pakistan. General Director Sergei Avramenko then signed a memorandum of co-operation, which outlined the specific deadlines and an algorithm of actions for the implementation of the project.
