MP: there is no big war thanks to Belarus
Belarus continues to fight for peace and wants Europe to be independent – as stated by a deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly, Oleg Gaidukevich, in his talk with the Belarus 1 TV channel
The parliamentarian believes that it was Belarus that prevented a big war, “There is no big war [in Ukraine] thanks to us – since we are fighting for peace. That is why the President defended the Minsk agreements. We are now being accused from all sides, but we continue our peaceful rhetoric. We are not proclaiming aggressive thoughts. You will not hear aggressive statements and promises of our politicians, officials and the President that Belarus will start bombing tomorrow. We want Europe to be independent. By the way, if Lithuania and Poland were independent states, we would have enjoyed excellent relations," Mr. Gaidukevich stressed.
As the deputy recalled, the leaders of the so-called Old Europe recently came to Zelenskyy – saying that they were already tired of the hostilities and urging him to start negotiations. “If Ukraine were an independent and self-governing state, there would have been no such events now. Peace talks would have started a long time ago," he added.
