MP: Europe is not blazing only thanks to Belarus
Belarus is not succumbing to provocations, and this does not allow the Ukrainian conflict to be brought out of its territory – as stated by the Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee on International Affairs at the House of Representatives, Oleg Gaidukevich, in his talk with the ONT TV channel
The MP analysed the situation in Europe, “Unfortunately, the European Union’s biggest problem now is that it is firmly held by the United States. Our neighbours – Poland and the Baltic States – are in the centre of this ‘fist’; owing to the American support, these countries are destroying Germany and France. Think about how the latter look against their background! Poland is humiliating Germany, a great country that has been dragging the EU forward as best as it could.”
Speaking about the situation in the region, Mr. Gaidukevich highlighted the peacekeeping role of Belarus, “There are now many parties wishing to involve Belarus into a military conflict, and actually unleash a conflict in Europe, outside of Ukraine. These are primarily the United States and the United Kingdom. Americans are not afraid if Europe is on fire, and the EU is not blazing now only thanks to Belarus. These are not some empty words, because we do not succumb to any provocation. Why is this happening? [The answer is] our independence. We are sovereign!”
