Moscow to open new consulates in CIS, Asia and Africa
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Yevgeny Ivanov said that Russia intends to open new consulates in a number of countries, RIA Novosti reports
Ivanov noted that recently the Russian Foreign Ministry has been trying to send its employees to those countries where there is a lot of work. This primarily applies to the CIS member states.
“By the way, these are also Asian countries. There are ideas for opening new consulates in countries where a large number of our tourists are permanently located or where our people live,” the Deputy Foreign Minister said.
He also focused on the fact that now diplomatic and consular employees from Russia are reorienting themselves to those areas that are most in demand. These are Asia, Africa and the CIS.
