More buckwheat and millet to be sowed in Belarus

In order to satisfy the domestic market with home-grown products, more buckwheat (up to 31,700 hectares) and millet (9,300 hectares) will be sowed this year in Belarus – as reported by the Agriculture and Food Ministry

Sowing of spring grain crops – such as less drought-resistant wheat and barley – will be reduced. At the same time, 30,000 hectares more of winter barley have been sown in comparison to the 2020 season.
