Modern projects on a turnkey basis

In 2020, the Strategy for Social and Economic Development until 2030 was adopted in the Kursk Region. The Head of State noted the readiness of the Belarusian side to participate in programmes to modernise key sectors of the economy of the Russian region.
“We need to switch from traditional trade to the creation of joint manufacturing companies. Selling is one thing. But it’s not easy to create joint production, design, build something necessary from social, turnkey industrial facilities — we can take on this and are ready to bear responsibility for it. In terms of price-quality ratio — it is difficult to find any real competitors even in the world today,” believes Aleksandr Lukashenko.
The President noted that Belarus has a large and successful experience of co-operative interaction in the production of various types of equipment — from automotive to agricultural. And our country can share its developments. The Head of State noted that Belarus has the necessary resources to participate in Russian import substitution programmes. Co-operation in this direction was discussed at the highest level.
“President Putin and I recently made such a decision. For our part, we offered Russia specific projects that are very needed and will be in demand in the near future not only in Belarus but also in the Russian Federation. Russia will earmark about $1.5 billion for these programmes in Belarus. We understand that without replacing imports, especially in critical industries, the so-called critical imports, we will struggle to develop,” emphasised Aleksandr Lukashenko.
Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that special attention should be focused on the most promising areas of co-operation: construction, industrial co-operation and agro-industrial complex.
Kursk Region is aiming to make it into top 10 Russian regions in sustainable development. Belarus is ready to assist in achieving this goal.
“We are ready to provide you with services for home renovation, design, engineering surveys. Furthermore, we are ready to build on a turnkey basis. Likewise, we are ready to supply elevator equipment. We would be happy to get involved in the implementation of these projects in your region. Furthermore, we are ready to introduce modern technologies and equipment for water treatment and water disposal,” listed the President.
Kursk Region Governor stressed, “For us, as an agricultural region, it is very important today to be able to purchase world-class agricultural machinery, which is produced in Belarus. We are very interested in the results of selection and everything related to the cattle breeding. We will take this experience… I want to express my admiration for the Belarusian National Biotechnology Corporation. There are no complexes like this in Europe for sure. Our colleagues and friends from the People’s Republic of China hold this market by and large. For the first time they have transferred their technology to the brotherly nation. And we were delighted to see that this project was implemented within a short period of time.”
