Minsk, Harare became twin cities

Within the framework of the state visit of the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, Minsk and the capital of Zimbabwe, Harare, signed an agreement on establishing twin city relations, with Minsk City Executive Committee Chairman Vladimir Kukharev explaining how co-operation between the two capitals will develop further, BelTA reports

“There are many promising areas: energy sector, healthcare, education, water supply and treatment, municipal equipment. That is, today we see that it is a very promising area. We know that our Belarusian goods are in great demand. And here [in Zimbabwe and the capital Harare] we see a lot of issues that we can tackle in the future,” the Mayor of the Belarusian capital said.

Vladimir Kukharev said that in the near future, action plans would be signed to develop the agreement, which would further strengthen bilateral relations, including in trade-economic liaisons.
