Meta added to list of terrorists and extremists in Russia

Russia’s Federal Financial Monitoring Service included Meta Corporation into the list of extremists and terrorists, Rosfinmonitoring reports

The company is listed there as Meta Platforms Inc.

Instagram and Facebook, owned by Meta Corporation, were recognised as extremist by the Tverskoy District Court of Moscow in March 2022, and their work in Russia was banned.

In addition, in June, the Moscow City Court recognised the ban on Meta’s activity on the territory of Russia legal due to its extremist activities.
