Medinsky remains main negotiator with Ukraine

Russian Presidential Aide Vladimir Medinsky will further lead the Russian delegation in negotiations with Ukraine – as informed by the press secretary of Russia’s President, Dmitry Peskov, TASS reports

“True, he is still the main Russian negotiator,” the Kremlin representative confirmed.

Based on TASS latest information, a new round of negotiations between the Russia-Ukraine delegations will take place on the territory of Belarus: in Belovezhskaya Pushcha.

According to Mr. Peskov, the Russian delegation will arrive at the venue later today and will be ready to meet with the representatives of Ukraine, “This afternoon, in the late afternoon, our delegation will be ready at the place – waiting for the Ukrainian negotiators. Russia’s representatives will be ready to continue the conversation tonight.”

In response to a question about the place of the new meeting, the Kremlin representative stressed that he would not name it in advance, also emphasising ‘a certain element of contradictory information’ in the mass media regarding the negotiations.

The fulfilment of the conditions – outlined by the Russian President for the settlement of the conflict – can become a success of negotiations with Ukraine.
