“Cai Chuanqing is a well-known person in the world of medicine. We’ve discussed creation of a sub-park – to oversee traditional medicine issues – on the territory of the Chinese Park. Mr. Cai spoke about attracting major Chinese companies engaged in production, sale and trade of medicinal herbs to the Park. The first stage of liaisons in this sphere envisages production of herbs that the Chinese market needs and drugs made of them on the territory of our country,” Mr. Turchin said.

The Jintai Institute of Culture and Economics is known for producing a drug against COVID-19 which is now being certified in Belarus.

“The drugs that we have brought are very effective in the fight against coronavirus. The Industrial Park, with support of the two states’ leaders, can successfully implement this project. Products are planned to be sold in Belarus but it will be later possible to export them to the EAEU countries, and then to the whole world. Many countries have invited us to co-operate. Mongolia and Switzerland were among them but we want to produce our drug for the first time in your country. This has become possible owing to Decree No. 215 of the President of Belarus which aims at improving the investment climate in the China-Belarus Great Stone Industrial Park,” Cai Chuanqing explained.

Herbs – that can also be grown in Belarus – are used as raw materials for the medication. Meanwhile, the project is aimed at combining traditional Chinese and Belarusian medicine, as well as ensuring deeper co-operation between the two countries.
