Media: split in Biden's Office over Palestinian-Israeli conflict rising

There is a split into two camps in the office of US President Office about the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, which has become one of the most difficult crises during Joe Biden's presidency, RIA Novosti reports with reference to The Washington Post

It is informed that about 20 people in the White House requested a meeting with Joe Biden's advisers in November to find out how the US Government plans to reduce the number of civilian casualties in the Gaza Strip amid the escalation of the conflict.

According to the source, the meeting highlights how ‘Biden's actions in resolving the crisis are splitting the White House, which is conducting a disciplined and cohesive operation’. It is noted that the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is the largest foreign policy crisis during the presidency of Joe Biden.

The publication adds that the conflict in the Gaza Strip has worried the American administration more than any other issue during Biden's three years in power.

Earlier, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken acknowledged the existence of disagreements within the State Department due to the approach taken by the Biden Office in the conflict. He said that special forums are being organised in Washington to discuss these different points of view.
