Media: Saudi Arabia and Iran agreed not to enter into military confrontation with each other
Riyadh and Tehran decided not to enter into a military confrontation with each other, and also not to carry out intelligence activities against the interests of the two countries, TASS reports
Citing a high-ranking representative of the kingdom, it was reported on the air of the Al Arabiya TV channel, “Both countries have made a commitment in the field of defence and security to avoid military aggression [against each other] and intelligence activities.”
The official added that Saudi Arabia and Iran came to a consensus on resolving the conflict in Yemen.
The interlocutor of the TV channel did not voice the details of the agreements, but said that Riyadh and Tehran did not discuss the problem of restoring the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action on the Iranian nuclear programme.
Riyadh also pledged not to provide territory to third countries to attack Iran.
