Media report Iran to hold large-scale military drills

According to the Tasnim news agency, Iran plans to hold military drills involving various ground forces units in the coming days, TASS reports

It is reported that the 1402 Joint Drone Exercise will be held in the province of Isfahan, located in the central region of the country, involving artillery, armoured and airborne units of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic.

According to media reports, Iranian authorities have not yet commented on this information, and the news agency does not provide information about what weapons will be used during the manoeuvres.

In August 2023, Iran conducted naval exercises with elite units of the Iranian Armed Forces in the Persian Gulf. According to Tasnim, the exercise areas involved Fath ballistic missiles and Qadir cruise missiles with a range of 120km and 300km, respectively, as well as unmanned ships and unmanned aerial vehicles.
