Media: half of world’s population supports Russia
Half of the world’s population supports the Russian side, according to Jędrzej Bielecki, a journalist from the Polish edition of Rzeczpospolita. According to him, today it is impossible to talk about any large-scale isolation of Russia, RIA Novosti reports.
The journalist noted the fact that, despite the conduct of a special military operation by the Russian side, many world leaders continue to maintain contacts with the Russian Federation.
The author of the publication recalled the meetings of Russian President Vladimir Putin with the leaders of countries such as India, China, Turkey, Iran, which took place at the SCO summit in Samarkand.
“There can be no talk of any large-scale isolation of Russia,” the publication says.
Bielecki stressed that India, for example, did not join the sanctions against Russia. Türkiye also refused to impose restrictions, despite being a member of NATO.
Moreover, earlier the Russian leader said that the Russian Federation is ready to do everything possible to resolve the conflict in Ukraine as soon as possible. At the same time, the Ukrainian side announced its refusal from the negotiation process.
