Media: EU agreed on a plan to supply Kiev with €2bn of ammunition
The EU member states have reached an agreement on a plan to supply Ukraine with ammunition, RIA Novosti reports with reference to France-Presse
The agency refers to unnamed diplomats who informed that the plan was agreed on March 20th, during a meeting of the Council of the EU Foreign Ministers.
The plan envisages allocation of 2bn Euros for the joint replenishment of ammunition stocks of Ukraine and other states. Half of the funds will be used to reimburse the countries that agree to transfer ammunition from their own stocks to Kiev. Another 1bn Euros will be allocated for the joint purchase of new shells for Ukraine.
