MAZ to significantly expand range of manufactured equipment by 2030
The Minsk Automobile Works (MAZ) will significantly expand the range of manufactured vehicles by 2030, MAZ Director General Valery Ivankovich told reporters, adding that the plant has a development strategy, envisaging a phased re-equipment and acquisition of new innovative equipment
“This will enable us to expand the model range and meet the needs of our consumers,” Mr. Ivankovich said, adding that with the support of the President, the company is implementing an innovative project for the reconstruction of a bus factory.
“The implementation of the project will double the capacity, i.e., we will produce up to 3,000 units of passenger vehicles of various modifications and capacities, ensuring even greater export diversification,” he underlined.
Speaking about external supplies, Mr. Ivankovich noted that the African market is actively developing, “The relationships have been developing most actively in recent years. We have great ties with North Africa. We started with assembly production facilities. It is important we perceive this co-operation on an equal footing: this is the prospect of our co-operation.”
