“The MAZ-6903C5 garbage truck is on show at the exhibition,” the company said. “The peculiarity of this special equipment is the MAZ-6310C5 chassis with 6x2 wheel arrangement with a steerable rear axle, which allows to significantly improve the manoeuvrability of the garbage truck in tight urban conditions.”

According to the media centre, the prospects of this development were highly appreciated by the leading Russian manufacturers of municipal vehicles – as evidenced by a wide range of municipal vehicles based on the MAZ-6310C5 chassis displayed at the exposition.

“In 2024, the share of MAZ chassis on the Russian market in the segment of municipal and household waste collection equipment totalled 50 percent,” Oksana Mikheeva, the Deputy Marketing Director of JSC MAZ – Managing Company of BELAVTOMAZ Holding, commented on the situation.

The International Exhibition of Environmental Technologies Wasma-2025 is taking place on March 25th-27th at the Expocentre Fairgrounds in Moscow. This is one of the key expositional events in Russia, bringing together manufacturers and suppliers of environmental technologies, representatives of recycling companies, regional operators, environmentalists of industrial enterprises and state and municipal authorities. This year, the Wasma exhibition has been thematically expanded – its sections now reflect the full range of opportunities for creating a closed-loop economy: Waste Management; Recycling and Regeneration; Sanitation and Water Treatment; Municipal Machinery; Environmental Monitoring; Industrial Air Purification; and Automation and IT Solutions.
