Matvienko congratulated Lukashenko on election victory

Head of State Aleksandr Lukashenko has received congratulations from Chairperson of the Federation Council of Russia’s Federal Assembly Valentina Matvienko on the occasion of his victory in the Presidential election in Belarus, sb.by reports citing the Belarusian leader’s press service

“Your convincing victory in the election is a broad recognition of your merits as Head of State and another evidence of the nationwide support for the course you are pursuing, aimed at strengthening the economic potential, improving the well-being of citizens, and defending national interests in the global arena. Your many years of selfless work and service to the interests of the Fatherland, your indisputable authority and political wisdom are a bright example for the younger generation, and your readiness to bear responsibility for the future of the country is the guarantee of its successful development, stability and prosperity,” the congratulatory message reads.

Valentina Matvienko noted that the Federation Council especially appreciates Aleksandr Lukashenko’s unwavering attention to the interparliamentary dialogue, deepening of multifaceted Russian-Belarusian ties and development of interstate integration.

The Chairperson of the Federation Council of Russia’s Federal Assembly wished the President good health, energy, support of his family and friends, and achievement of the highest goals for the benefit of the people of the Republic of Belarus.
