Makei had telephone conversation with Pakistan’s Foreign Minister

Belarus’ Foreign Minister, Vladimir Makei, held a telephone conversation with the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi. As reported by the Belarusian Foreign Minister’s press service, the talk was initiated by the Pakistani side.

The sides discussed the current situation in Ukraine, paying particular attention to finding solutions to humanitarian problems of the conflict. Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi thanked the Belarusian side for its assistance in facilitation of the negotiation process aimed at securing a ceasefire in Ukraine.

In addition, the foreign ministers exchanged views on topical issues of Belarusian-Pakistani co-operation, including intensification of bilateral contacts and further development of economic liaisons.
