Makei: Belarus is ready to contribute to resolution of Russia-Ukraine crisis
Belarus’ Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei announced this after the Russian-Ukrainian negotiations on the Pripyat River bank ended, BelTA reports
"The President of Belarus was following the process since its early start; he was interested in its progress. Of course, all Belarusians are interested in seeing a concrete result. The Belarusian side does not evade responsibility, as some sources are trying to say. We are ready to contribute to the resolution of the crisis. We are also ready – if it is acceptable and if we are asked – to participate in the relevant process in order to achieve a positive result," Mr. Makei said.
The Foreign Minister added that the process that had begun would have been completed a long time ago had it been not for the external players’ interference. “It might not even have been necessary to take any further action," he said.
