Makei and Cavusoglu discuss situation around Ukraine
Belarus’ Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei had a telephone conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu on March 14th – as reported by the Belarusian Foreign Ministry’s press service
The Belarusian Foreign Minister congratulated his Turkish counterpart on the successful completion of the Antalya Diplomatic Forum (ADF), which was held in Antalya from March 11th-13th, 2022.
The two sides discussed in detail the situation in the region in a broad context and specifically around Ukraine, expressing unanimous opinion that the conflict in its hot phase should be ended as soon as possible. At the same time, they touched upon the issues of the evacuation of their own citizens from the conflict zone and the functioning of humanitarian corridors.
Makei and Cavusoglu also discussed bilateral relations, focusing on topical issues of Belarus-Turkey trade-economic interaction.
