It is informed that if coronavirus is detected in those who arrive in mainland China from these special administrative regions, they will not be sent to strict and centralised quarantine. From January 8th, they will be able to be treated independently at their place of residence.

However, those coming from Hong Kong need to get a negative COVID-19 test 48 hours before departure.

In turn, those who arrive from Macau do not need any medical confirmation if they have not travelled abroad for seven days.

In addition, transit services through Hong Kong and Macau will be restored, and restrictions on the number of flights from these special administrative regions will be lifted.
