Lutsky at anti-fascist forum: if someone enters our land, retribution is inevitable

Our task is to preserve peace, to convey to the peoples of our neighbouring countries that the memory of that terrible war must not be forgotten, otherwise everything will repeat itself – as stated by Deputy Head of the Belarus President Administration Igor Lutsky during the anti-fascist forum Tasks of the International Communist Movement in Struggle for Solidarity of Progressive Forces against New Fascist Threat to Humanity, which brought together representatives of over fifty countries in Minsk

The Deputy Head of the Belarus’ President Administration noted, “It is very symbolic and revealing that the anti-fascist forum is being held in the capital of the Republic of Belarus: the city of Minsk. Approaching this sacred place – the Museum of the Great Patriotic War History – people feel that their heart is quiet and calm, because the banner of the victorious people is proudly flying over this building. We assure you that this will always be the case on Belarusian land.”

Igor Lutsky underlined, “The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has always said that peace is the most important thing. It is essential for us to preserve peace. That’s why people who think about peace and how to prevent war meet here and hold various events. This is what the anti-fascist forum is dedicated to. I want to remind you that not only such forums were held on this earth. In 1946, the Minsk Trial took place on the territory of Belarus during which we judged those who set foot on our land with their forged boots, those who brought grief and misfortune here, those who organised Khatyn, Ola and Krasny Bereg here. They must remember, they must understand that this will always be the case: if someone steps on our land, retribution is inevitable. Therefore, our task, first of all, is to preserve peace, to convey to the peoples of our neighbouring countries that we must not forget the memory of that terrible war, otherwise everything will repeat itself. That’s why the memory of the Great Patriotic War, its heroes, the feats of the victorious nation are reflected in the renewed Constitution of the Republic of Belarus.”

The anti-fascist forum is being held at the Belarusian State Museum of the Great Patriotic War History. The programme of the grandiose event includes the holding of the international anti-fascist conference with the adoption of the final resolution by the forum participants, as well as the laying of the Alley of Peace and Creation in the Belarusian capital.

The Russian side is represented by the leaders of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and the Central Council of the UPC-CPSU. Leaders and representatives of the communist parties of Armenia, Georgia, Abkhazia, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Portugal, Germany and Hungary also arrived in Minsk. Communists of Moldova, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Transnistria, South Ossetia, Turkmenistan, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and other communist parties from Europe, Asia and America are participating in the anti-fascist forum via videoconference.
