Lukashenko, Putin talked over phone
President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko had a telephone conversation with President of Russia Vladimir Putin on March 20th, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service
The conversation lasted about an hour, and it touched upon the issues of the Union State building, including in the development of Aleksandr Lukashenko's recent official visit to Russia. The focus was also on the topic of Eurasian integration and work within the framework of Belarus’ presidency of the Eurasian Economic Union this year.
Aleksandr Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin also discussed the schedule of upcoming contacts and joint events. Among them is the international forum in Volgograd dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, which will be held at the end of April under the auspices of the Parliamentary Assembly.
The EAEU summit is, in turn, scheduled for the end of June in Minsk, and the heads of state discussed its agenda.
