"This corporation is among top 500 companies in the world. It has been operating in Belarus for 15 years and has a serious portfolio of implemented projects: reconstruction of cement plants, modernisation of a flax mill, production of BelGee cars. A number of major investment projects are still under implementation,” the Pul Pervogo Telegram channel reported.
Both current and prospective projects will be discussed at the meeting at the Palace of Independence.
The CITIC Construction Co., Ltd. international engineering company was established in November 2002, and it is a subsidiary of China's largest state-owned financial corporation CITIC Group. The main directions of its activity include turnkey construction of real estate, including industrial, infrastructure and sports facilities, and also export-import supplies of mechanical and electronic equipment. The company implements projects in the CIS, Southeast Asia, South America, the Middle East and Africa. In 2007, it was one of the first Chinese engineering companies to start operations in Belarus.
With participation of CITIC Construction as a general contractor, turnkey construction of cement plants (Belarusian Cement Plant JSC, Krichevtsementnoshifer JSC, Krasnoselskstroymaterialy JSC), organisation of the assembly of passenger cars (BelGee) for 2012-2030, and modernisation of the Orsha Linen Mill have taken place.
In 2016-2018, the company joined the shareholders of BelGee JSC and the Belarusian National Biotechnology Corporation, thus becoming not only a general contractor, but also a co-investor and shareholder in these projects, taking part in their management.
At the moment, the company is implementing three investment projects in Belarus: construction of a potash processing plant for Slavkaliy JSC, a multifunctional hotel and business complex along Minsk’s Pobediteley Avenue and a high-tech agro-industrial production of a full cycle for the Belarusian National Biotechnology Corporation.
