The Head of State first familiarised himself with the model range of MAZ passenger vehicles, then visited the assembly workshops. The new plant will produce third-generation passenger vehicles with a unified frame structure, but with different types of engines: diesel, gas and electric. They expect to reach full capacity next year.

“We’ve done well,” Aleksandr Lukashenko assessed the production site.

The total investment costs of the project exceed Br300m. The bus plant is to be commissioned by April 2025. It is expected that it will double MAZ’s passenger vehicles production capacity, ensure the development of a new family of passenger vehicles, increase export potential to 1,500 units per year and create over 330 new high-tech and high-performance jobs.
