The Head of State stressed that many of the values of the Belarusian society are enshrined in the Constitution – following a proposal and approval of the denominations represented in Belarus, “The rules of our life, enshrined in the Constitution, embrace everyone. They are profound and rely on the understanding of our society, our people of where we are, and they draw the guidelines that we must follow as we move forward.”

The President added, “Everyone has their own path to the temple, and no one should interfere with anyone. Our task is to help people and support them in this endeavour. There should be no pressure in this regard. This approach helped us, and so we have such an interfaith world.”

The Head of State noted that fugitives often criticise him for promoting peace. [They say], “Well, look, Lukashenko, peace… He will never fight with Ukraine, because the people do not want this..."

"Actually, the President is obliged to serve his people and do what the people want,” Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed. “It happens that society does not really understand the situation, so it is necessary to convince people.”

In this regard, the Head of State recalled that, during the pandemic, no matter how hard he tried to reach people, not everyone understood what was happening, “Time has put everything in its place. We have understood already who funded it, how much [money] was allocated for that infection, where it came from, and how many people died. There is the recognition now that the only right path was the one we had chosen.”

According to Aleksandr Lukashenko, in order to move on, ‘it is not necessary for everyone to rely on just one person’, “Because it's going to be more difficult. We all need to work together. We need to produce high-quality products, then they will be sold – even at prices that are higher than the existing ones. Everything is coming from the bottom.”

In this regard, the President once again stressed the importance of observing ironclad discipline in all areas, then there will be success.
