Lukashenko: US dictate attempts oblige countries like Belarus and Cuba to stand together
The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has sent greetings to the President of Cuba, Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel Bermudez, as the country celebrates Liberation Day of the Republic of Cuba, the Belarusian leader’s press service reports
"In the face of severe economic sanctions and political pressure, the Island of Freedom continues to defend its independence. Attempts of dictate by the United States and its allies in relation to such small but independent countries as Belarus and Cuba oblige us to hold on to each other and firmly move forward," the congratulatory message reads.
The Head of State confirmed Minsk's readiness to implement joint projects aimed at the dynamic development of bilateral trade, the exchange of advanced scientific technologies and experience with Havana.
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel Bermudez good health and success in all his affairs, also wishing peace and prosperity to Cubans.
