Lukashenko took part in Victory Day celebrations in Moscow

The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has taken part in the Victory Day celebrations in Moscow, BelTA reports

The Head of State attended the parade on Red Square in honour of the 78th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Before the event, he was greeted by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Together with other CIS leaders and veterans who arrived in Moscow, Aleksandr Lukashenko watched the parade from the stands.

A minute of silence was declared in memory of the fallen during the Great Patriotic War.

After the parade, the state leaders jointly laid a wreath and flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the Alexander Garden at the Kremlin Wall.

The presidents of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and the Prime Minister of Armenia also arrived in Moscow.
