“I have just read the most severe criticism of our fugitives regarding our computer,” the Head of State addressed Director General of the Horizont Holding Management Company Yuri Predko. “Did you criticise me for having an ‘apple’ on my table? It has been already replaced today; your computer has been brought and will be put on the President’s table.”

Aleksandr Lukashenko also drew attention to the need for further localisation of domestic computer technology, instructing to increase its percentage from 30 to 70.

“You’ve done well. You have shown that we can do everything. And we did. No matter how difficult it was, we did it,” the Belarusian leader stressed. “I think that even in the West they are beginning to understand that it is necessary to liaise with the Belarusians. I don’t think that we will clash and view each other as enemy for all our lives. Everything will return to normal.”
