Lukashenko: to be a real scientist means to look beyond the horizon

The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has congratulated scientists, employees of research institutes and higher educational establishment on Belarusian Science Day

“Science is the foundation of statehood. People of extraordinary cleverness, high intelligence and incredible diligence have always been at the forefront of the development of civilisations, countries and peoples,” the congratulatory message reads.

According to the President, to be a real scientist means to look beyond the horizon, opening up new perspectives and opportunities for people, creating scientific schools, passing on experience and knowledge to students and followers.

“In the Year of Peace and Creation, science has a huge responsibility. Industry, agriculture and the social sphere need breakthrough innovative ideas and developments,” Aleksandr Lukashenko noted adding that the state – which has provided domestic scientists with decent conditions for research and practical work – has the right to count on exceptional devotion to national interests.

“I am convinced that – by serving a great goal of creation in the name of peace – you will make your significant contribution to strengthening humanitarian security and ensuring the technological sovereignty of our country,” the Head of State said.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished scientists many creative years, good health, new scientific achievements in the name of the future of their native Belarus.
