Lukashenko to Academy of Sciences’ Chairman: I appreciate your movement along de–bureaucratisation path

By the end of this year, the National Academy of Sciences will adopt a new charter – as the Chairman of the NAS Presidium, Vladimir Gusakov, reported to the Head of State.

Discussion of a draft of the Belarusian National Academy of Sciences’ new charter was one of the issues of the report.

Aleksandr Lukashenko commented, “I appreciate that you are following the path of de-bureaucratisation – so that there would be less red tape, which is awful. This is also a lesson from Russia's conflict in Ukraine, simply in a different dimension. There should be no red tape, so let’s look at the main elements of the charter. And then, in line with our procedure, I think we would definitely approve the new charter of the Academy of Sciences by the end of the year.”
