Lukashenko, Sultan of Oman continued their conversation, which began the day before, in a more private setting
Belarus’ President Aleksandr Lukashenko and Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said of Oman continued their conversation in a relaxed, home-like setting. The Head of State invited the distinguished Omani guest to his home, BelTA reports.
The joint work continued first in the format of a meeting, and then as a working breakfast.
“You are a welcome guest in Belarus, including in my house!” Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasised, while addressing Haitham bin Tariq Al Said.
The previous day, the two heads of state held official talks at the Palace of Independence, which led to the signing of several agreements aimed at enhancing bilateral co-operation across various areas. A joint statement by the two countries’ leaders was also adopted. Among the signed documents was a roadmap outlining the development of Belarus-Oman bilateral co-operation.
“The dialogue between Belarus and Oman is set to become a model of genuinely equal, trusting and mutually beneficial co-operation between the two friendly countries. On our side, we will ensure that all our agreements are implemented completely and without delay, as Oman is a country of significant importance to us, and we will respond in kind,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said during the talks.
Meanwhile, the Sultan of Oman expressed his desire to enhance trade-economic liaisons with Belarus, believing that the current relationship has not yet reached its full potential. “We are trying to work hard to keep our relations on the rise in this area,” Haitham bin Tarek Al Said stated.
