Lukashenko: someone is envious that huge empire invites Belarus to jointly look into the future

At the nationwide subbotnik in Khatyn, the Belarusian Head of State responded to attacks from the Western media that he had travelled to Russia only to take photos with Putin and a nuclear launch suitcase

The Belarusian Head of State called these conversations ‘small and disgusting insinuations’, “Maybe someone is envious that a huge empire invites its younger brother in order to work together and jointly look into the future. Finally!”

Aleksandr Lukashenko outlined the purpose of his trip to Russia, “You underlined correctly that Russia had adopted a special law on Belarus (this is a rare case, it has never happened before): Belarusians are now allowed to access all closed facilities.”

Speaking about this, the President made a remark: there have never been closed objects in Russia for him. According to Aleksandr Lukashenko, he has attended factories that produce nuclear warheads, as well as missiles for their delivery. Moreover, together with his Russian colleague Vladimir Putin, he attended the training of nuclear deterrence forces, “A new page has been opened in our relations. All bans on the presence of Belarusians at Russian closed construction sites have been lifted. The cosmodrome is a secret closed construction facility. The main thing is that the Russians asked our specialists to help them complete the construction of this cosmodrome. Have you seen these sites for launching rockets? We flew around and saw the second construction site – the airfield – and the third object is housing. They obviously lag behind. Such specialists need housing, they will not live in tents. It was the proposal of the President of Russia.”
