Lukashenko signed Law On Amendments to Codes on Administrative Responsibility
The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has signed the Law On Amendments to Codes on Administrative Responsibility – as reported in the Belarusian leader’s press service
The document is aimed at implementing the Directive of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated October 6th, 2022, No. 10 On the Inadmissibility of Price Increases and is designed to protect the interests of citizens, as well as the supply goods to the domestic consumer market at economically justified prices.
For these purposes, it is envisaged to establish administrative liability for failure to indicate information related to the formation of prices for consumer goods in commodity documents, or for indicating incomplete or inaccurate information.
A fine of up to 20 basic units (Br640) will be applied for these violations while for business entities the fine will be up to 10 percent of the monetary value of the business transaction reflected in the commodity documents.
