Lukashenko signed decree on state civil posts

The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, signed Decree No. 195 On State Civil Posts on June 6th – as informed by the Belarusian leader’s press service

The document was signed to implement the provisions of the recently adopted law On Public Service. It establishes an integral system of public service, which includes civil and military service, as well as service in paramilitary organisations. At the same time, the law regulates the state civil service in detail, envisaging strengthening the requirements for civil servants, their discipline and responsibility, while defining their duties, rights, social and legal guarantees, and norms of ethical behaviour at work and at home. The law outlines the specifics of the service of persons who hold the positions included in the Head of State’s personnel register.

The decree, in particular, establishes a register of state civil positions, the ratio of class, personal ranks and diplomatic ranks, qualification classes and classes of civil servants, as well as equating the existing classes with the new ones. The register stipulates a unified nomenclature of all state civil positions in Belarus’ state bodies and the names of specialists’ positions.
