Lukashenko shared views on idea of pan-Slavic state
The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, admitted that he had been dreaming of creating a pan-Slavic state or uniting countries – as he noted in a talk with the France-Presse News Agency, BelTA reports
The journalist expressed an opinion that Russian President Vladimir Putin, judging by his statements, is dreaming of a Slavic state.
"It was I who dreamed of a Slavic state. They promoted an idea of the Russian world once, and I have always said since the 1990s that there are Slavic states. Among them are Poles, Slovaks, Bulgarians and others. And we should not lose this connection. True, everyone lives in their own state – but we are Slavs. I have talked about it. Therefore, Putin has never talked about any pan-Slavic state, and he has not dreamt of it. You have fabulated this,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
