Lukashenko sent greetings to participants of 2nd National Forum on Sustainable Development

President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to the participants of the 2nd National Forum on Sustainable Development, reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service

Dear friends!

I’m happy to welcome you at the 2nd National Forum on Sustainable Development in Minsk.

By signing the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development together with the UN member states in 2015, Belarus has assumed the relevant obligations.

For this purpose, our state has been ensuring steady economic growth, deepening social integration, and introducing new environmental initiatives over nine years. Thanks to the systematic work to achieve the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Belarus consistently occupies high places in this global project.

At the same time, I’m sure that the successful implementation of the 2030 Agenda is impossible without international solidarity and full-fledged partnership.

I’m convinced that the current forum will become a vivid demonstration of Belarus’ progress in achieving the SDGs, while also turning into a full-fledged dialogue platform to share best practices. Moreover, numerous foreign guests will appreciate the famous national hospitality of Belarusians and the beauty of our wonderful country.

I wish all participants of the forum fruitful work and new successes in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
