Lukashenko sent condolences on the death of the head of the Order of Malta

The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, expressed deep condolences to the Grand Commander, H.E. Fra’ Ruy Gonçalo do Valle Peixoto de Villas-Boas, and the entire Order of Malta on the death of Fra’ Marco Luzzago, H.E. the Lieutenant of the Grand Master of the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of St. John of Jerusalem, of Rhodes and of Malta – as reported in the Belarusian leader’s press service

“The departure from earthly life of the Lieutenant of the Grand Master – a person who devoted his entire conscious path to defending the faith and helping the suffering, earned the respect of people of different nationalities and religions – is an irreplaceable loss. Fra’ Marco Luzzago’s multifaceted and tireless pastoral ministry in the name of forming a society based on the principles of humanism, mutual understanding and forgiveness supported the hope for a just world,” reads a condolence message.

Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed that the Lieutenant of the Grand Master will be remembered as an outstanding spiritual leader of the Order of Malta, whose work has left a significant mark on the hearts of people around the world.
