Lukashenko sends Independence Day greetings to Uganda’s President

President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko congratulated Uganda’s President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and all citizens of the country on the national holiday — Independence Day, sb.by reports citing the Belarusian leader’s press service

“In more than 60 years of sovereignty, your country has come a long way in state building and achieved significant results in economic growth and people's well-being,” the Belarusian leader noted.

Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasised Minsk’s interest in strengthening Belarus-Uganda relations based on the principles of trust and respect, shared approaches to key international matters and the desire to establish a just multipolar world.

“I look forward to fruitful joint work on fulfilling the agreements reached on expanding co-operation in economy, trade, food security, as well as in industrial, humanitarian and other sectors, which are key factors in the social and economic development of both states,” the President of Belarus stated. “Our status as BRICS partners gives us additional opportunities for dialogue within the association’s platform.”

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Uganda’s President health and success in his plans, and the friendly people of Uganda happiness and prosperity.
