Lukashenko sees SCO as solid foundation for new world architecture

The Shanghai Co-operation Organisation acts as a real platform for an equal and respectful dialogue – as stated by the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, at the Council of the SCO Heads of State meeting in Samarkand, BelTA reports

"Following the basic goals and principles, the Shanghai Co-operation Organisation provides a real platform for an equal, respectful dialogue," Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed.

According to the President, in the conditions of cardinal changes in the global world order and sanctions wars unleashed by the West, the organisation is developing civilised approaches to solving urgent international and regional issues.

"We are convinced that ‘the Shanghai spirit’ and comprehensive co-operation can become a strong foundation for a new architecture of the world," the head of state noted.
