Lukashenko sees opportunity to strengthen ties with Ethiopia in all areas of mutual interest
On behalf of the Belarusian people and himself, the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has congratulated the President of Ethiopia, Sahle-Work Zewde, and the residents of this country on Derg Downfall Day, BelTA reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service
The Head of State noted that Ethiopia is moving today towards stability, harmony and peace, is following the path of structural economic and social reforms aimed at independent sustainable development of the country.
"Our states are united by the desire to build a just multipolar world order, as well as traditions of friendship and support," the congratulatory message reads. “I am sure that we have the opportunity to strengthen bilateral ties in all areas of mutual interest for the benefit of our peoples. The Belarusian side is ready to share its experience in the field of information technology, supply equipment and machine-building products. We are interested in developing co-operation in the fields of education, sports and tourism."
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Sahle-Work Zewde good health and success, also wishing well-being and prosperity to the people of Ethiopia.
