Lukashenko’s Press Secretary commented on Belarus’ release of US citizen

Natalya Eismont, the Press Secretary of Belarus’ President Aleksandr Lukashenko, said in a commentary to TASS that the recent release of a US citizen by Belarus was not the only such request from the new Washington administration, BelTA reports

According to her, Minsk continues to receive such appeals from Washington.

“This is not the only request of the new US administration. Such requests have been received and are coming. We prefer confidentiality in these issues. All information about the details is in the US Department of State and the White House,” Ms. Eismont noted, commenting on the recent release of three prisoners, including a US citizen, by the Belarusian side.

Earlier, the release of a US citizen in Belarus was announced by White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.
