Lukashenko responded to the invitation to attend the festival of cultures in Grodno: I must definitely go there
At today’s meeting with representatives of different nationalities who live in Belarus, President Aleksandr Lukashenko responded to an invitation to visit the Republican Festival of Cultures in Grodno
During the meeting, the Chairman of the Advisory Interethnic Council of the Office of the Commissioner for Religious and Ethnic Affairs, Chairman of the Minsk City Armenian Cultural and Educational Society Hayastan, Georgiy Yeghiazaryan, thanked the President for the attention the state pays to the development of cultures of various national communities and the preservation of interethnic peace and harmony.
Mr. Yeghiazaryan noted that he has been living in Belarus for 45 years, “We are treated here not according to our nationality or religious beliefs, but to our business, professional and, most importantly, human qualities.” He invited the President to visit the Republican Festival of Cultures in Grodno, which will be held for the 15th time in 2025.
Aleksandr Lukashenko replied, “This festival is dear to me, I once initiated and created it. I am very glad that, on the banks of the Neman River, in this beautiful (and western, as everyone says) city of Grodno, you are making it a real world city – not western or eastern, but the world one. I should definitely attend this festival. You have guessed my thoughts exactly.”
