“What is your same-age peer? This is a little old man poking at a phone. It should be sometimes put aside, and you should live real life – and to use it at your age and especially later only when necessary. A telephone is primarily a means of communication and the Internet access. The Internet should be used to get the required information, but not to hang out online all time,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.

The Head of State agrees that gadgets have many positive aspects. “This is, of course, a great achievement of mankind,” he said.

At the same time, modern technologies are fraught with many negative points. With this in view, Aleksandr Lukashenko warned the young generation, “If at your age you hang out there over a certain topic that you do not really understand but have simply devoured it, then it is not always good. True, it is impossible to take phones away from you now – but it is still necessary to know how to use them. Children should be taught.”
